Suppressed M60E4/Mk43 MOD1 Commando Machine Gun in Action (Corrected)

This video clip features David Crane, owner/editor-in-chief of DefenseReview.com (http://www.defensereview.com) test-firing a suppressed U.S. Ordnance M60E4/Mk43 MOD1 Commando machine gun.

The muzzle can a.k.a. sound suppressor a.k.a. silencer attached to the M60E4/Mk43 Commando in the video clip is a John's Guns R18 QD (Quick-Detach) suppressor (7.62mm NATO), possibly made from Inconel for high-heat resistance. We'll research this (raw material). In any case, the R18 can (suppressor) cut down the noize considerably, and definitely resisted a lot of heat.

By the way, the gentleman I'm interviewing (unscripted and unrehearsed) in this video is Steve Helzer. Steve did a fantastic job that day, and really took great care of us. He went above and beyond. The M60E4/Mk43 MOD 1 Commando machine gun is a highly modified and improved version the original Vietnam-era M60 machine gun, and it was developed to address and solve the original M60's reliability, handling, size and weight problems.

This is a 7.62x51mm NATO (7.62mm NATO) medium machine gun (MMG) a.k.a. general purpose machine gun (GPMG).
