This video clip features David Crane, owner/editor-in-chief of DefenseReview.com (http://www.defensereview.com) test-firing a suppressed U.S. Ordnance M60E4/Mk43 MOD1 Commando machine gun.

The muzzle can a.k.a. sound suppressor a.k.a. silencer attached to the M60E4/Mk43 Commando in the video clip is a John's Guns R18 QD (Quick-Detach) suppressor (7.62mm NATO), possibly made from Inconel for high-heat resistance. We'll research this (raw material). In any case, the R18 can (suppressor) cut down the noize considerably, and definitely resisted a lot of heat.

By the way, the gentleman I'm interviewing (unscripted and unrehearsed) in this video is Steve Helzer. Steve did a fantastic job that day, and really took great care of us. He went above and beyond. Defense Review would like to thank Steve (Helzer), Curtis Debord Sr., and the rest of the folks at U.S. Ordnance for letting us come out there to tour their facility and shoot their ammo at their company range. It was a lot of fun.

The M60E4/Mk43 MOD 1 Commando machine gun is a highly modified and improved version the original Vietnam-era M60 machine gun, and it was developed to address and solve the original M60's reliability, handling, size and weight problems.

This is a 7.62x51mm NATO (7.62mm NATO) medium machine gun (MMG) a.k.a. general purpose machine gun (GPMG).

You can visit the U.S. Ordnance website at http://www.usord.com.

Defense Review would like to thank Sargon Koda of Xtreme Recall (http://www.xtremerecall.com) (Reno, Nevada) for assisting us with filming. All the shooter's-perspective and weapon's-perspective shots were accomplished via an Xtreme Recall low-profile wearable tactical video camera system. When you watch the videos, you'll see that we had an Xtreme Recall micro video camera mounted on the gun/weapon and on me (the shooter). Notice how well the gun-mounted camera handled the recoil effects of the M60E4, no problem. Bottom line, if you're looking for a high-quality, low-profile wearable tactical video camera system (micro video camera), or non-tactical wearable video camera for extreme outdoor use or just everyday use, DefenseReview highly recommends that you visit the Xtreme Recall website (http://www.xtremerecall.com) and/or give them a call at 775-851-2686. Great product.
