Cleaning Out Your Ears Korean Style

Most of you will be familiar with Q-tips, but equally many of you will have never seen this twist to a Q-tip. One side is like our old friend and the other has a hook/cup shaped thing that is used for ear exploration.

I'm sure this is bad for your hearing but it gets them clean.

@jeremy0203 Well, in much the same way that I am my wife's personal 'trash-taker-outer' she gets to be my ear cleaner. Heh. My wife really likes to do this and it scares me. I prefer to pop pimples, honestly.

this isn't just a Korean thing......you can find this tool through out Asia. You must have found the tool in a Korean store.

@SoKindOne You are right that it is not just Korean. My wife is Korean and this is how it was done when I lived in Seoul, South Korea for two years. I know that Asians have different ear wax than Caucasians so this is better for their type of ear wax (dry, flaky) as opposed to wet/moist/sticky. Amazing, eh?

@jmg1358 I think almost all of Asia does! It's because Asian ear wax is different from Caucasian/European. It's really fascinating, isn't it?
