I had the honour of being the keynote speaker at the AAC National Agility Championship banquet this month. There was a narration attached to this video but somehow I can't get it to work. I think the message comes across without it. This presentation is made up of every dog I have ever owned, loved and for some lost . . . all of whom have contributed immeasurably to my journey.

  • I am 18 years old and have been a massive dog lover for as long as I have lived, but due to many circumstances, I haven't been able to own one yet. I am just waiting until the moment when I can start looking for my perfect puppy. Sometimes it gets really hard, waiting all these years to start searching for my best friend. It's been 18 years of painful waiting, and I know I have at least a few more ahead of me before the time comes. This video has made me patient. Thank you so much.

  • @KelseyTVS your dog will come into your life when you need him most. I too have loved dogs all of my life, I started to volunteer so I could be around dogs as a teenager. My parents didn't want me to have a dog until I graduated from university so I was 23 before I ever owned my first dog and now I can't imagine ever having it any other way

  • Who was the black and white dog? I thought you only had red Border Collies.

  • @SzmJSF The Black and White Border Collie was "Stoni" my first BC. She was an amazing, amazing girl. The most human like dog anyone has ever met. Although I do love my red dogs, I have no problem owning a B&W again one day!

  • That made me get emotional.. Dogs are in our lives for different reasons and it's always important to keep in check as to the real reason behind the journey we're taking together! They heal, they love, they humour us and so much more. Such a great video. I'm going to share this with friends and family. :)

  • O O O Are you the owner of Buzz???!

  • Beautiful! Moved me to tears and now I'm thinking fondly of all the dogs that I was lucky enough to have had in my life.

  • so beautiful!

  • I have to watch this video every couple of months to remind myself of what is really important in life as well as what I should take away from the dogs I interact with. It helps keep me grounded, focused, and humble. Thank you so much for making this. I know I really truely appreciate it.

  • Love this message. I am training my koolie in agility and he almost ready for competing, I however am not! Have a massive fear of failing. Thankfully when I turn into a bundle of nerves my dog just comes and comforts me! This video really says something about the relationship with your dog. It's not about getting it perfect but continually learning and growing! Love it.

  • Thanks for the reminder of WHY we journey.

Look for the lesson within your journey. Inspire, love and share.

  • Loved the video. Really made me think.

  • hi!but where can I find the book?

  • I saw this video a hundred times. I cry EVERY time.
