Poles Apart
Pink Floyd

Composição: David Gilmour / Polly Samson / Nick Laird-Clowes

Did you know...it was all going to go so wrong for you
And did you see it was all going to be so right for me
Why did we tell you then
You were always the golden boy then
And that you'd never lose that light in your eyes

Hey you...did you ever realise what you'd become
And did you see that it wasn't only me you were running from
Did you know all the time but it never bothered you anyway
Leading the blind while I stared out the steel in your eyes

The rain fell slow, down on all the roofs of uncertainty
I thought of you and the years and all the sadness fell away from me
And did you know...

I never thought that you'd lose that light in your eyes

  • Hi ,i have 3244 years old and i do love Pink Floyd .

    CAIVS•IVLIVS•CAESAR

  • @tjrrockandrollmaster welll first of all i really dont care what rick wright said. He contributed to some fantastic song, i love Summer 68. But even David Gilmour told him he needed to write more songs, especially during the Wall where Roger Water was pumping them all out. Also with Animals they might have lost some of there pure instumentals, but it seems they really went deeper into philispohicals. Its also an insanely good album. And I love David Gilmour don't get me wrong

  • @2525nickr Problem was Roger stated that the songs he wrote were HIS SONGS which was not true. The classic Floyd was Atom Heart Mother to Wish You Were Here. Animals was Roger's power trip, even Rick Wright said the band lost its edge with Animals (I play live recordings more than the album as the songs were superior live). The Wall was what it was thanks to David Gilmour and Bob Ezrin. The Final Cut was Roger wanting to either quit or run his way.

  • @tjrrockandrollmaster i dnt agree with that. when ever david gilmour speaks of dark side he always says that it was mostly roger waters. david did give credit but i dnt see how roger took credit. he certainly was the front especially after writing almost all of the wall, and all of the fial cut. but i don't see how he took credit from songs. when roger waters left they still used songs that he wrote
