  • Do you known how many months can the green cheeked conures breed from babies to adult?

  • They can start mating/breeding at as soon as 8 months old. But I would say they're usually sexually mature at 10 to 14 months.

  • My girlfriend in the vid was not grabbing the baby by the neck. She was properly supporting the chick's head gently. No worry. We ain't pro but dedicated breeders :)

  • ahah aw so cute... yah do they like to be rushed or slow feeding? im getting mine in 2 weeks cant wait

  • The whole handfeeding process should never take more than 5 min. If you just started out taking between 5 to 8 min is okay at first! Rushed or slow depends on the chick's head bobbing rhytm. Basically the faster it bobs the faster you feed and vice versa.

  • I don't know, but there doesn't seem to be much love there in the hand feeding... I'm going to be hand feeding a baby cockatiel in about 2 weeks, and I was thinking of the syringe method, but I think I might go with a more natural way. Despite the fact that it looks to be rather rushed feeding, it looks like everything is under control and sanitary...

  • I been doing this(handraising parrot chicks) for 10+ years since I was a kid so believe me I know what I'm doing :) This might look rushed to most but let me tell y'all this is the slow-mo version just to make the video clip more "viewable". In real life when we have a dozen or more chicks waiting to be fed we actually usually tube-feed or force-feed them which is at least 2X faster than the method you see here. Trust me we love every single one of them and nothing is ever rushed.
