Baklava is the Ancient Greek gastris (γάστρις),kopte sesamis (κοπτὴ σησαμίς), kopton (κοπτόν), or koptoplakous (κοπτοπλακοῦς). Gastris is mentioned in the Deipnosophistae...The Greeks of Byzantium used it,and the Turks copied it, and called it baklava.
