These New Puritans have released two albums on Domino/Angular Records, 2008's 'Beat Pyramid' and 2010's 'Hidden'.
The group performed various 'Hidden Live' shows at the end of last year across Europe, featuring a 14-piece orchestra and a children's choir. The shows were conducted by Andre de Ridder (Monkey : Journey To The West, Philharmonia, BBC Symphony Orchestra) and included, amongst others, sold out shows at The Barbican, London and The Pompidou Centre in Paris.
This film is the encore from 'Hidden Live : Berlin' (Hebbel Am Ufer), featuring 'Irreversible' and 'En Papier' reworked.
All music written and arranged by Jack Barnett and video directed by George Barnett.

@JLAOeitghtynine I imagine this is obvious to you but, i know at the time of release i know jack was talking alot about the works of michael nyman (try "queen of the night", "an eye for optical theroy" -the fast version and "time lapse", and of course benjamin britten's sea interludes. Maybe Philip Glass and Wim Mertens for a piano fix. Oh and elgar's where corals lie!

Extremely difficult to make this work live. Not quite happening for me. Seems as if everyone is having to concentrate so hard on the logistics that the spirit is missing somehow.

@D0MA5H thanks for the info...Sigur Ros are great. I managed to discover Steve Reich, John adams and johann johanassonn also. Still i dont think il ever be able to find anythings that sounds like these guys il just have to wait for the new album!

This guy is such an amazing composer and so young. The whole band is great! i never listened to much classical music and now Im hooked because of this ROCK band. Though i cant find anything with the same kind of vibe...any suggestions? I need to hear some more bassoons!!
