one plant can typically produce 1 pound of smokable marijuana. why do you think that you could only grow enough for one month of use? i didnt know most people smoke an ounce a day.

It would take thousands of Marijuana DISTRIBUTION CENTERS and GROW SITES to provide the allowable pot for the current 36,380 cardholders.
GROW SITES can include marijuana grown in your neighbor’s yard or house. Indoor growing presents dangers because of toxic materials and high volumes of electricity increasing the potential for fires. Grow sites attract in home burglaries, and robberies.

Voters were told the OMMP was for the sick/dying, less than 4% is for cancer. Over 88% is used for common pain. A single doctor is responsible for recommending approximately 35% of all medical marijuana cards, with ten doctors recommending 59% of all cards. OMMP has grown because of misuse of the program. The first thing I thought when I read prop 19 was why didn't they push the revenue from industrial hemp and have smoking it be completely secondary.
All things in steps though, like you said. The good thing is that we aren't stepping backwards and are gaining momentum by any measure.

It is exceedingly rare to be incarcerated in the US for the use or possession of marijuana. According to the National Center on Addiction & Substance Abuse at Columbia University (CASA, 2010), less than 1 percent (0.9%) of jail and prison inmates in the U.S. were incarcerated for marijuana possession as their sole offense.

M74 does nothing to control the existing program, as M74 will not infringe on a cardholder’s ability to produce their own marijuana or to designate a person responsible for a marijuana grow site. In home grows and caregiver growers will go unregulated continuing to create problems in our communities and cause law enforcement to have to divert their resources to deal with the existing abuses.
