Racism in Dubai. Give it a break, please. You come from London, right. Well guess who benefited from the North Atlantic Slave Trade, too! The United States was not the only country to benefit from the African Slave Trade, nor was the U.S. the only country in the West to propagate racism for HUNDREDS of years, even to this very day
So, stop playing the Race Card, will ya. Dubai is not a democratic republic - that's not how they do things. So, sure - if you don't like THEIR rules, leave.

People that don't understand global economics and international finance, should really not be involved in offering comments on Dubai. I'm a U.S. Citizen, and what Dubai is suffering can be felt all over the entire planet, not just in Persia. It was the European banks that financed a huge portion of Dubai World, so some pretty smart people had their skin in the game outside of Dubai. The U.S. caused this when Bush ignored our economy for eight long years, forcing the contraction domino effect.

It is so easy to sit back and Monday Morning Quarterback Dubai. The fact of the matter is this - Real Estate imploded almost everywhere in the developed world, especially commercial and high-density projects. Dubai, is no exemplary of what happened to most large scale projects around the world. There is no such thing as artificial oasis in the desert. Justification to build came from a need to revolutionize an economy that could no longer depend on historical economic drivers - oil & spice.
Dubai was nothing but a real estate debt financed bubble economy on an artificial oasis in the midst of a desert. There was no real fundamental reason to justify the extravagant and rapid growth of that region of the world in the last two decades. Such growth was just unsustainable and when you compare the growth of that market in relation to the social and cultural evolution, you get a huge disparity that doesn't relate to a realistically developing society! The bubble had to pop to reality!

Just glad you didn't go to that Cosmopolitan Communist Modern-day Slave Hell-hole. Who the fuck wants to work and live there? Certainly not me that's for sure.
