Israel's alleged 'organ harvesting'

- An article in the Swedish Aftonbladet has claimed that IDF soldiers killed Palestinians in order to trade in their organs. The report said Palestinians claim youngsters were forced to give up their organs before being executed. Aftonbladet also said Palestinian youths who were snatched from their villages in the middle of the night were buried after being dismembered. The reporter, Donald Boström, said he was informed of the alleged atrocities by UN employees while he was working on a book in the West Bank. The article quotes a number of Palestinians as saying that their children were killed by IDF soldiers for their organs.
The investigative report has raised a political and media storm in Israel. The acts began in 1992 when Palestinians started to witness a sharp rise in the number of young Palestinians disappearing and of bodies of Palestinians killed by occupation forces being returned with organs such as hearts, kidneys, livers and eyes missing.
