Upper white trash and rednecks nowadays vote rather conservative. Gay marriage is not a conservative wish. The partents of the kid rather seem trashy/redneckish.. so if you don't assume the kid to change his social class in the next 20 yrs: he'll become a conservative and be against gay marriages. ;-)
