8,000 Drums 2010 Vancouver

Grandview Park on Commercial Drive was filled with the sound of drumming on Sunday, March 21. Indigenous and other drummers gathered at the park to share their songs. "We will sing for our earth, our environment, our future & for our families and loved ones.. finally for our indigenous people in the struggle who fight, sometimes with their lives, for our environment."

Several speakers noted that today is the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination and shared stories of discrimination they have experienced. We must stand together and speak out against intolerance.
