INFJ's make horrible conversationalists

@treehuggersteve How am I projecting when I am relaying in this video what other people who've listened to me talk have said? This wasn't brought to my attention until OTHERS stated it, so I don't see how I'm projecting anything. Also, I don't feel very kindly towards those who tell me to STOP doing something that I do not know, so next time, please try to be more chivalrous and polite. Thank you.

I am a really shy INFJ, I cannot usually think about what to talk about but I always am on the original topic. I don't talk a lot at all, but if I do I usually must explain every thing. I always have complex answers, but I mostly can't put them into words.

The only real problem with the INFJ as conversationalists is that they are introverted thinkers, and sometimes pause while they're thinking. For extroverted thinkers, this can be really annoying.

This is not necessarily true. Many INFJs can make pretty good conversationalists. You have to look at the functions, not just the letters. INFJ's main functions are introverted intuition and extroverted feeling. Through their intense Ni, INFJ's can usually pick up on other peoples' personalities and mirror them back at them. They'll also know exactly what people want to hear, and will often say them convincingly to make good conversation. Just because they are usually exhausted by small talk

SAY WHAT? INFJs are among the best conversationalists in the world, given the right environment and partner. When things are right, INFJs can flow through a universe of ideas and insights with a fluidity other types find hard to match.

Personality types are fluid. You shift from one to another over the long term, and even in different situations. If you don't like something about yourself, it's not because you are "INTP". It's because at the moment, that's how you feel and act. So just find out what you're doing wrong, and change your behaviour or your thinking...
