@gpb6181 I think its not so much for volume, but for the experience so the congregation doesn't feel so far away from the performers as they together worship our Creator.

300...a 5000 piece choir member. It doesn't matter with God. Because like them we just want to lift the name of God.

I don't get it. Can't a 300 voice choir pump out enough sound without a handful of hot shots standing in front holding a mic. Just don't make since to me.
