  • Hi kitih! Not all machines have a coin deposit area. I have only seen some with coin dispenser/receipt areas. I've never tried depositing coins, but if you look at the article on my blog "How to Use a Japanese ATM (The Basics) Part 1, there is a disply of what In ATM with a coin area looks like.

    I'm sorry I couldn't do more. Let me know if you figure it out.

  • I wanted to make a correction. The hiragana spelling of tsuchou is incorrect. It's つうちょう not つちょう. Sorry for the mix up.
