because it's not a self sustaining fuel, it requires a large amount of electricity to excite the salt water with radio waves enough to ignite. that tiny flame does not have enough energy to generate the electricity needed to continue the cycle, therefore you are relying on the power grid and defeats the purpose.

Not only does this process have a net energy loss, but it is a useless closed cycle. The same energy that disassociates the H2O also recombines (burns) it. The H and O can not be separated from the source of combustion. The process of disassociating water with high energy EM waves is decades old.

Currently, this discovery uses more energy than it produces. The energy required for the radio wave generator is more than the energy from the saltwater, so it's a net loss. I doubt there's any conspiracy by "big companies" keeping this from use--it's just not efficient right now.

What a load of bulls*** It's not the water that's burning, it's the hydrogen, it's a simple process called electrolysis. And where do you think comes the energy to separate water molecules into oxygen and hydrogen? That's right, electricity from your local power plant that runs on coal/oil/uranium... Those TV people are so dumb. Someone really needs to come up with an invention to grow brain cells for TV people :D

ites because the oil companies are trying to keep this as repressed from the public as possible. they are only failing. it was invented in 1985. and has been invented in many other ways by other people... guess what happend to the first guy to think of this. HE WAS POISONED no dought by a high executive of an oil company. The government is in the process of makeing this already. so dont worry it on its way. oil company douchfags. i hope they all die for what theyve done to the world.
