Thanks! I was going to ask for tips but forgot. I've been working on bouncing flash and I've had my camera since August so I'm pretty good with adjusting for lighting conditions without flash. I am going to be doing some serious work at the wedding, I'm the sole photographer and it's my first time photographing a wedding! It's a friend I've known for 30 years and I'm confident I will do a great job. I can't wait!
BTW, do you have a flickr?

This is very encouraging! I've had my sb-400 for about a week now and I also have a D5000. I will be photographing a wedding in October! Thank you for sharing!

You didn't ask for the advice but: Practice. The worst thing you can do is shoot a wedding with equipment you aren't use to. Regardless of your skills or equipment. Here's a tip: If you plan on doing serious work at the wedding, unless it's in daylight, don't depend on the cameras meter for flash exposure. Go manual on the flash and set the camera so that you change ISO on-the-fly for varied lighting condition, with the option of changing flash output only when necessary.
