you know what, why don't you just record a kalinga eagle dance and play it with the song "flying without wings" by westlife. or maybe post a courtship dance of your culture then play it with black eyed peace's "my humps."
-
@natsm16 hell who cares, there are many other traditions or culture that imposes "follow the leader" strictly on its people and they don't mock it with some stupid popculture song that you hear in a dirty disco club or lunch table.
-
well don't taint it with modern popculture!

unkle inya ayan ti nagsalaan da?santo mayat ti pabuya na.

kunaen tayo ladtan nga modernized kalinga aerobics daytoy .there are many native kalinga dances posted here so we know the original and the modernized.and yeah it is true , the basic steps in a native cultural dance is "follow the leader " this is the unique description of our native dance.I'm pure igorot, i also perform. i dont see anything wrong when we do a little variations.siguro , it all depends sa personal TASTE ng viewers he he he

hmmm.. i don't think this is something "mangibabain " ti agpayso nga mangibabain are those wearing the native igorot attire going to big cities acting as BEGGARS. this video does not mean to degrade the kalinga culture , its just the english version,,, a modernized one . even us in Sagada , we make variations when we do cultural presentation, just for a change.Likewise the original is always the best,we know that. cheers performers !

I dont think this is an insult to the native culture. I myself is a real igorot who performs usually on some festivals and other occasion and and we also do some variations to make a certain modernization.this doesn't mean that the basic pattong isn't good . Ofcourse being an igorot , I know the original so,,, perhaps this is just for a change. It's not something :mangibabain". Its just something modernized .

i live in a place where members of the indigenous groups are frowned upon and the only way by which we can prove them that they are wrong and for us to earn their respects are the very cultural legacies our forefathers have been preserving since time immemorial...these legacies are the only things we can be proud of...I'm not a Kalinga,,but if the channel owner is from Kalinga herself, "you had done the greatest damage your kakailians will never forget and forgive...Rectify this mistake.

@feuna35 : Yes, I am from Kalinga, I've been a cultural performer since my childhood, and i do understand what i am doing..I might know something that you don't know..Culture is evolving..Culture is not constant..to say that i did this to insult is an opinion of yours but not mine..What is the damage? why would i rectify..I know better the Kalinga than you, the song "FOLLOW THE LEADER" is the exact explanation of the basics of the Kalinga dance..

@feuna35 You should first understand the dance before concluding...
