I think of eyes when I hear this song, I have no idea why though. Maybe because those purple eyes are trying to see a better life, but that place is to far for those eyes to reach. All those eyes can see are fists, angry eyes, and tears.

What is amazing is that the 2nd from last of the song (starting with 'A statue stands') changes the meaning of the last chorus. All the other chorus' are saying how she doesn't show the pain. She's a hardened angel, but she's a good kid who just wants to be loved. The last one means that she's dead, an her name is written on a rock where the concrete angel statue stands, and that she is now in a place where she is loved. She is a concrete angel.

SUCH a good song. Such deep, immense meaning.

so i found about this song from reading an article about Judith Barsi the original voice actor of ducky from "the land before time" she was abused by her dad and later killed along with her mom by him.
