  • Well done, Scott. BTW, I'm having trouble viewing Grods. No problems viewing it in bloglines, but the blog itself won't load in either Firefox or IE. Heard of anybody else having difficulty?

  • Thanks, Tim.

There was a server issue last week but they reckon it's been fixed now. I've got no problem viewing the site in two different locations on Firefox, Safari and IE.

  • Ask the average Australian 15 to 25 y/o a basic grammar question like how to spell 'they're going over there to get their schoolbag' and at least half will have no idea.

I do feel the basics have been ignored since about 1995 when we started prioritising computer and vocational aspects of education. Problem is you've got to walk before you can run...

  • Rubbish! I work with 5 to 12 years old and I HAVE to teach the basics because its my job to teach them to read and write....you cannot be a true teacher. You would NOT survive in NSW.ITS their parents job to teach the rest!!

  • She wants to take the place of parents.

  • I agree with this video and I cannot either believe John Howard thinks the opposite about education. It is a joke for him and well done on the video - very well said.
