  • Wow, that's pretty sad. They design this half decent notebook, and they forget to put in a disk drive. So they give you an external one. Wow.

  • @PalmyJason I think they didn't include a disk drive because everything is moving towards memory sticks, DVDs are on the way out

  • @robbansv Lets not forget that this computer packs an i7 jackass. You might as well be bitching because your brand new Corvette does'nt get 40 MPG. You will never get this much power, plus battery life. Its a trade off. Get off Steve Jobs dick before you get pregnant.

No there not, flash memory is extream slow unless you dump insane cash into a USB 2.0 RAID flashdrive with a high data rate (dont confuse flash sticks with SSD's) Wile dvd's are slowly being phased out, its not becuse of flash drives there being phased out becuse blu-ray has alot more data capacity (dual layer BR disk is around 50gigs capacity) the machine is focused around "form over function" and portability.

  • @getconnectedtvshow yea true but its taking a long time for disk to be phased out but i think its kinda B.S. that u have to have a external disk drive though

  • @ih80396 i dont think so!

  • @goof713 Yes you are right but there is sum thing i have heard which i hate about my iphone too ,the dirt particle's getting inside the screen

  • @crossmediatube agreed i owned only hp dv laptops till 18 months ago when i got my 1st macbook pro and the difference in build quality and os are immense, i haven't had one single program crash in the 18 months i've had the mac and it still looks new, no marks or wear on it what so ever (all the hp dv laptops i had the trackpad always started to wear). But these envy laptops look great dont think i could go back to windows though.

  • well i also have an hp Pavilion Dv6 but no doubt Macbook still has Quality, better touchpad, and no lagy O.S ,so when price's are compared between Macbook pro and envy i think Macbook is better but envy is better for entertainment like beats audio and hp mediasmart

  • @Samirk92 oh and all the other specs are better than the envy too. But theres going to be more sandybridge laptops released around may so you might be better wait until its released and decide then. youll also be able to find out if theres any issues with it that way from other users

  • @Samirk92 well looking at game benchmarks it seems to be getting fairly similar results to what i get when i tested my laptop. so i dont think theres a huge amount of difference between the 540m and hd4830 in terms of power but the 540m does have optimus and dx11 so overall id say it might be better although the hard drives slightly slower . To be honest id say its one of the best value laptops ive seen if your looking to game on it anyway?

  • Do the bottom fans on this laptop intake air or blow it out?
