Tim Coyne/trumpet and Al Ekar/piano, performing two pieces at First United Methodist Church in Ravenna, OH, on 11/11/07.
The pieces are "O For A Thousand Tongues To Sing" by Charles Glaser (arr. Douglas Court) and "My Faith Looks Up To Thee" by Lowell Mason (arr. James Curnow).
While I was mostly pleased with the performance, I wish the piano could be better heard. Also, I cracked a few notes, but in my defense I had tired/sore chops from merengue gigs (lead trumpet in Grupo Fuego) the previous two nights, plus I played these two pieces and a couple hymns earlier that morning.
While this was mostly posted for the enjoyment of my family and friends, comments are welcome, but please be kind.
This is my first video post on YouTube, or anywhere else for that matter. Sound quality is fairly good IMHO, but video quality is very poor. I may try to re-post this with better video quality later. Also, please excuse the clicking noise, someone must have been clapping along or tapping their foot.
BTW, in case you're curious, I'm playing a Calicchio R37 Bb trumpet in silverplate with a Bach 3C mouthpiece.
Thanks for watching!
Awesome trumpet!
