i agree with parts of your comment. yes they are weak its a finesse/style sport. and yes those other sports involve contact but basketball has contact as well. like when a center is making a post move or when a player is blocking out his opponent to rebound the ball. i think a better comment would be football hockey and rugby involve MORE contact. i think you should play it and you may find it to be fun. i used to play and i enjoyed it very much.
