I agree that gay marriage shouldnt be based on what the bible says because the bible has been translated so many times by people with soooo many different views and biases so there cannot possibly be one straight line that is concrete fact. Its like if someone was writing an Essay for school and quoted wikipedia. Also, other religions have marriage too and their marriage is legal even tho they reference to a different faith so why is that no claimed as unchristian. Christians are so hypocritical

@galinka45 well you obviously dont know that there are 3rd world counties that are Christian and they are poor so that refutes what you were saying and why dont you want to use the "f" word. Profane words are just a result of culture and have nothing to do with the bible. Like the use of bloody in England would be a cuss word but its not a big deal in America. @galinka45 People who voted YES on Prop 8 said its to protect their views on marriage that come from God that says that marriage should be between a man and a woman. THATS FINE. but what they fail to see is that, Marriage is a matter that is involved with the government NOT the bible.There's a little thing called Separation of Church & State. Well Allison, it is unconstitutional now (as of 2/7/2012)! The Supreme Court will most likely decide on this ruling of the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of California. The US Supreme Court will deem it unconstitutional now too! Why? Because, according to the US Constitution: "The rights of a majority will not decide the rights of a minority" (here GLBTQ people). That includes a vote by the people of the US!

SO WHAT! Why is being a leftist even associated with being open minded? Liberal and tree hugging hippies MUST UNDERSTAND that BEING OPPOSED to conservativism ALSO qualifies them as being one sided! I have a BA in sociology and learned in my classes that 1 out of 1,800 people are born hermaphrodites and/or intersexed in variety of ways. BUT, it's a fact 1 out of 2 people are STILL born either as male or female. I believe in equality between men and women but there is no need for the queer agenda.
