  • I am glad you like the Knew Concepts saw, I have been a champion of the product from the day I first tried one. I was so impressed that I sent the maker, Lee Marshall some photos of the job I was piercing with my first frame and he was so impressed that he asked to use my photos on his website. I now am the proud owner of four of his frames, my favourite being the five inch deep Titanium model with the tensioner arm for the blades.

  • @JamesMillerFIPG Wow, lucky you! The titanium model is definitely on my wish list. :)

  • great video,

I want to make a pendant and I want to dye it (red and black), which kind of metal should I use?

  • @Zuarin You can dye aluminum. Try googling that method. Good luck!

  • @JamesMillerFIPG I've recently started using the Knew Concepts saw. Isn't it great?? :)

  • @trekranger, I use Swiss Glardon Vallorbe saw blades, mostly sizes 4/0,3/0,2/0 and 0. These sizes for metal thicknesses of between 0.3mm. up to 1.5mm. I am now using the Knew Concept saw frames exclusively.

  • @JamesMillerFIPG so how do you pick your saw blades ?

  • I am a UK goldsmith who specialises in saw piercing. I would love to give you a few tips on piercing. First tip try piercing across the bench pin with the saw frame held at right angles to your sightline. Second tip wax the rear of the saw blade and the teeth will not get clogged. Third tip, when starting to saw inside a design, the first cut should be towards an interior corner if there is one as on your design.

  • Very nice video.

  • Good lighting, good camera work.
