http://live.pirillo.com - The only truth when it comes to Broadband here in America is that we don't have enough. One community member wrote in to talk about the fact that he really doesn't have any options for Broadband, other than Satellite.

  • Someone mentioned a 5gig cap to me.. sounds ridiculous. I think I read the average household usage is around 30gigs? I know I used around 100gigs last month, but I was also reinstalling everything from reformatting. Redownloading my music, programs, and games LEGALLY. lol, I don't remember when I last bought a physical game or cd.

Thank God Comcast has 250gig cap. If they ever drop it, I'm screwed.

  • let google take over the internet and provide internet. Screw isps they are thinking of doing that to my internet and it would kill me cause i can't afford tv or anything else

  • pay as you go is a horrible idea....how does it help the end user? it's just a way for isp's to make more money.

  • 7 minutes in "well I have probably wasted 3-4 minutes of your life" Hahahaha

  • wow that sucks I thought most people had 30mbps download 5mbps upload cable connection for about $53.00 a month.. Guess I have been lucky love my ISP we been together with no caps, no throttling, same speed since 2005

  • 500mb half a GB im disapointed in this nerd... 521MB is half a GB thumps up bitch!!

  • thats said 8**(

  • I have 5 mbps down and 1 mbps up speed, i dont think my area has a cap because in the last 24 hours I've downloaded over 20 gigabytes of stuff.

  • Unless your internet connection is a part of a free bundle, or part of a cheap TV or mobile phone package, U.K. ISPs rarely impose caps.

The problem with U.K. internet connections is that British Telecom own a completely monopoly on the countries copper telephone network, and unless you pay for a super-expensive fibre optic connection, then you've got to use the shitty copper connection, that British Telecom never maintain properly, and rarely bother to upgrade (since they own the monopoly).

  • I'm on 60kbps, but although I have no download limit, my connection constantly loses packets and always has a terrible ping.

Only one internet provider offers a broadband connection in my area. And they are charging me a rip off price for the speed and quality of connection.
