This film made vampires real. Really great movie. Nothing else like it.

This movie was horrible, it is probably one of the worst movies I have ever seen. Everyone do yourselves a favor and watch Dracula by Francis Ford Coppola instead...

I was interested in watching this movie, but I heard mixed things about it. Thanks for the thorough review and I'm definitely going to check this movie out.

In my opinion it's his best movie other than Lady Vengeance.

I also liked this movie. Chan wook Park is one of the brilliant directors in the world. I love his artistic workings. You know what? His father is an architecutre and his brother is a painter. He also wanted to be a critic so he majored in philosophy in college. That's why his movies are both artistic and ethcal
First of all, I completely agree with everything you said, Thirst is a masterpiece and I love it.
In Korea, last name comes first, so its
PARK Chan-wook
KIM Ok-bin
SONG Kang-ho
Btw, Kim Ok-bin also starred in my favorite movie Voice Letter (2005). Like Thirst, it's a unique horrordrama with an interesting and strong story, check it out if you get the chance.

Just picked this up on DVD yesterday and I completely agree. Best movie of the year. I was pretty sure Inglorious Basterds was going to be and then pow, Thirst. I wasn't expecting this movie to seem so much like I'm a Cyborg but That's OK but it totally has that feel to it (then add 10 cups of gore and disturbing scenes). I still need to see Sion Sono's Love Exposure but for now this is pretty safe as best movie of 09.

I got a movie that you will love. It's called "The Good, the Bad, the Weird". It's a Korean western directed my Kim Ji-woon. It stars Song Kang-ho and Lee Byung-hun. You seem to be a fan of their works so I highly recommend it. It's not as over-stylized as Sukiyaki was but it provides it's own take on an Asian western. It shares some plot threads of the title it obviously bears a resemblance to but it's not a remake. There is a chase through the desert that puts Hollywood to shame.

I will definitely check it out! A BITTERSWEET LIFE is a favorite of mine. I reviewed it a while back and gave it a 4/5 but after a number of repeat viewings, I'm convinced it's 5/5. Thanks for the recommendation!
