The new ASUS Eee Box (B202) based on Intel Atom technology, running Ubisoft's FAR CRY.

No thicker than a book - and not much heavier than one either - this ASUS Eee Box is running Windows XP with Far Cry at 1280x1024x32. Noise level appears to be less than 25dBA, even after running Far Cry for over 8 hours.

The ASUS Eee Box will be available in early Q3'08, starting at an MSRP of $349 USD.

  • I'm pretty sure that's just a video playing in the Far Cry menus. A vid with some gameplay would be much more useful.

  • Have you tried looking at the video response above?

  • english:

hey thats not a rendered video in the menu!!!!

    german:

leute lasst euch ned veräppeln das video im menü is nicht gerendert!!!

  • Not sure where you get this idea from. If you adjust video settings and such, the performance and detail of the demo loop in the menu will change accordingly. If the demo loop was not rendered, the change in video settings shouldn't change the performance and detail levels (the best you'd be able to do is modify the video display resolution).

  • I read on Mike Rivero's WhatReallyHappened(.)com that the 80GB WinXP version comes with a virus called Recycled.exe which will infect your hard drive and any connected removable drives when the D: partition is accessed. Best thing to do for that particular model is completely wipe the hard drive and install another OS.

  • One of my co-workers brought up this news also. I spoke with the PM at ASUS and found that there was a production lot which somehow used an infected OS image (escaped QC's detection) and that OS image was for the Japanese region only. They have since modified the QC procedure, and probably dealt with the people on the production line. ASUS is pretty good about taking action right away.

  • im not stupid, I have the game and this scene is a pre-rendered cinematic from the main menu.

on the video response, it's gameplay though

  • @ 60spaure, its not video, its actually rendered material just like gameplay

  • watch part 2 fucking noob!

  • Kind of silly to demonstrate the fluidity of motion using a YouTube clip since you can't tell if the jerkiness is in the demoed computer or the clip you are watching. Well, if everything flows smoothly then mission is accomplished anyhow.

  • This is fake I tell you, fake! This is all the video from the main menu, even a Pentium 0 can show that! DO NOT BUY THIS GAME IF YOU HAVE THIS COMPUTER

  • i really want to play this i got a dell inspiron 530 can u help
