In England Crows will often attack Buzzards in flight to protect their young, which are a prey to the Buzzard. I'm guessing these birds are mistaking the aircraft for birds of prey - I mean some are about the same size.
I've yet to get my F-15 and spitfire working to see if the local rooks who live near the field I plan to fly in have a problem with planes. (Though they aren't likely to mistake an F-15 for a hunting bird - but possibly something more dangerous).
I've had this happen with my RC plane and a bird, but in my case the bird was just flying around the plane (the plane was pretty slow) but it didn't even try to attack it.

Haha a bird once attacked my Piper J-3 Cub so I did a fly by near some dogs and they scared the bird away!
