  • What a explosive play! I really felt the battle ground in his play. Impressive.

  • 覺得沒有發揮到西洋樂團的優勢。畢竟原本是中國樂器,改過去以後還是沒那樣棒。

  • Ambush from Ten Sides

  • @deepshenliu You are absolutely right!

  • i think "ambuscade from all sides" is a better translation of the name than "attack from all directions".

  • In fact, Li is the best to pay this piece that I have ever heard. Yang Bao-Zhis spirit in this piece of music is fully and perfectly expressed by Li. Yang should proud of himself for his successful rearrangement of Attacking from All Directions and also proud of Li who plays it so well.

  • This is played by Li Chuan-Yun [李传韵], who won the Wieniavsky International Violin Competition as the youngest winner. Li is particularly good to play this piece due to his firry spirit, his extremely high skill, and his Chinese culture background. He has expressed this piece highly successfully with full spirit and emotion. (to be continued)

  • This is the classical Chinese music, initially played by Bi Ba [琵琶]. Professor Yang rearranged it into violin music. I believe this is the most successful violin music rearranged from classical Chinese music.

    (to be continued)

  • 十面埋伏, or Attacking from All Directions (my translation), describes the one of the most famous battles in the history of China in the late Qin (秦) Dynasty, when the two armies (Chu [楚] and The Han [汉]). had the final battle. The Han Army finally defeated the Chu Army and won the whole country that was the beginning of Han Dynasty. (to be continued)

  • This is the piece of violin music written and rearranged by Professor Yang Bao-Zhi (杨宝智), the violin composer who has composed and rearranged most violin music , either as original composition or rearrangement from Chinese folk music or classical music.

    (to be continued)
