tenche18: Does anyone in your political party have any common sense? Very little land would be used for drilling (ex: Alaska). If I was a damn animal I would move to a part on the other thousands of acres I had to choose from. Even if there was some danger to animals, we must think of ourselves first. Do you want to ban chicken farms, fishing, cattle ranches, etc.? I don't think a freakin cow likes going to the slaughter house either. But--- we must eat....and we must have oil.

If the oil the big three drill here in America now were to be sold just in the US, the price would come down but no one in Washington has the power to change our free market...now Global Market. Plus, as a free enterprise, why would they want to learn less for their oil?

drill any where even if it means the death of million of animal and the destruction of the ecosystem for the sake of the human kind, sad, now ppl imagine if you where one of the animal being effected by this how would you like it.

I'll answer you, RockinRight and hitman all at the same time. We are #3 in world oil production now. Where is all that oil? I'll tell ya, on the world market, sold to China and India, not in the US. If you want a oil cause, try asking the big 3 US oil producers to sell the US some of our own oil at a discount.

It will make our prices come down as long as we keep the oil HERE for us. DO not put it on the global market. Let India and China continue to pay out the ass from Saudi Arabia.

It is a factor and it's the one factor we actually have control over.
You can't control Chinese and Indian demand. You can't (easily) control the dollar vs. other currencies. You can't easily control other issues.
You can control supply.

Of course the Democrats say you can't drill your way out of the problem. If that were the case maybe the solution is to stop drilling. After all if drilling is bad for prices, not drilling must be good. :-) /sarc

Don't be so simplistic. The price of gas at the pump is determined by a number of things, the least being a shortage of oil on the world market. Do some research and consider this an ad for big oil interest and nothing else.
