@ShaunStruwig Depends on your play style. I played with these babies right out of the box, so you can always try a store brand if they have them on display. These were on display at Samash the week they came out and I loved them ever since. I have been playing on Axis for 5 years, and these pedals are different since they are a bit heavier but they have a TON more options and adjustments than Axis. Extremely smooth pedals.

So, if you're planning on using these for speed and power for ever intensifying playing, such as death metal and such, would you recommend them for that?

@JosiahSCooper Yes, but again it depends on your style. I can hit 240-270bpm speeds with chain driven pedals or direct drive. Some people can only play one or the other. But for being non-direct drive pedals, they move extremely swift and smooth. I would recommend them.
