  • That's awesome. I need to keep an eye out for a metal filter for this one. I'm going to try a few other remedies for the funk toward the end of this week.

  • These are fantastic! I found one a while ago and now i use it with a chemex pot and it works amazingly!

  • try baking soda

  • I think I'm going to love this one. Coffee stays nice and hot. The filter is made of the gold plastic like the other elements and is like a basket.

  • I just acquired one of these and was looking for a manual to make sure I used it correctly. Mine has a plastic filter element that yours might be missing. I'll be trying it tomorrow and will let you know what happens. It has also been sitting for a long time, but it had been under a fabric cover. I'll be trying it tomorrow and will let you know what happens.

  • Hilarious. Mothball scented coffee. Nice.
