You're right. I had already mentioned it. Indeed she goes cross eyed quite often. And we love her for it.

Rossini was to opera . . . what Phil Spector was to rock.

Aw I'd like to see more. Anywhere I can find the whole episode?
-
Yeah just the company players...like Florez, Damrau, Ramey and Mattei...just normal singers !:)

what an aweful excerpt to choose

I have to agree that this was a poor choice for Letterman. I mean, I get that they wanted to show off the whole ensemble and production, as it were, but one aria from a well-voiced and attractive singer would probably be more interesting for the casual viewer.

they got a decent reaction from the audience, no?

Love this number and any way to get opera to the people is fine with me! While Ms.Damrau's voice is lovely, I prefer Joyce Di Donato as Rosina; she OWNS the role!

somebody once commented and said that Diana has a small voice, now i may be crazy but if her last few C's didn't cut through the leads, the choir, and the orchestra then maybe i am crazy but i think they did :p
