Great job man. I don't see why anyone would have hit "dislike"? No pleasing some people I guess.

Hi.
I got my resonator recently and tuned it to Open G.
People say that Open G plus capo on the second fret is Open A, and while the eletronic tuner agrees with that, my ears don´t.
Try to tune your guitar to Open A and play this song. It will sound totally different.
I don't know why :|
Open A by a G tuning and a capo doesn't sound as high and "gipsy" as Open A naturally tuned n the guitar.

Is the guitar amplified in this vid?
caralhosvosfodam 2 years ago
It's recorded with the Fishman cone pickup of the fender fr50. I plugged it in an old zoom PS02 to have an output compatible with my sound card (no sound treatment).
So strictly talking it's amplified but the sound is really near of the natural sound of the guitar

Could you please give the thickness of neck of this guitar. I am thinking to get a FR-50 but I am not sure it has a thick neck or not.

There are two models of Fr50 round neck and square (=thick?) neck
The electric accoustic version of the instrument -the FR50ce I am playing on this vid- is only availabe with a round neck

I am not sure to understand your question:
open G (DGDGBD) tuning+ second fret = open A (EAEAC#E)
