ESPN's Chris Fowler welcomes the ravenous crowd to the College Gameday set in Eugene on Halloween. (Nobody says, 'Dickson Your Endzone' quite like Chris Fowler. ) Many fans camped out over night looking to find a way into the center of the action. Several thousand packed the Casanova center parking lot awaiting the live broadcast at 9AM PST.

Much like 2007, when ESPN attended two Oregon football games, Fowler gets the fans excited for the live show as he peers into the early morning gloom. Referenced in his intro was the new location for '09. Previously, the show had broadcast from the other side of the stadium in a local nature preserve. That location was unavailable this time due to the potential adverse affect on the surrounding nature preserve.
College GameDay is an ESPN show covering college football. It first aired in 1987 with Tim Brando as host and Lee Corso and Beano Cook as analysts. Beginning more-or-less as an analysis of college football games, the show would undergo a radical transformation beginning in 1993 as the show began incorporating "live" broadcasts.
