Also..if you look at the diversity of grievances at the tea parties. people came together and dropped our petty differences to unite under the flag. We are all aware that liberty is threatened. Like the greek city states, we came together for a common good.

I think it's appropriate since most greeks owned their own swords and were included in the "militia"....The idea that the average citizen can and should participate in the defense of their nation is nothing new. That's the message I think.
