  • This is it folks, a minor masterpiece. The definitive instrumental interpretation of this standard. JJ's arrangement here in 1954 was highly influential to both future instrumentalists and singers playing this tune. It did wonders too for placing the tune in the repertoire of the trombonist., not surprisingly since it is one of JJ's spot-on recorded solos. Nothing elaborate, just concise rounds-on-target on these changes. Marvelous. Klook's latin drum line had legs too.
