This circuit teaches you how to make a clap switch or a sound sensor using 555 IC. It uses the idea of LDR Engineering. visit: www.buildcircuit.com for more information.

  • @ahsbabyblue11 if you want to glow regular bulb, please visit my site, search for clap switch and read the whole page and read all the comments also.

  • yes, 330R is 330Ohm.

  • How do I increase the microphone sensitivity?

  • what are you using? two pnp's? two npn's? or one of each one?

  • can any one relay switch how much in chennai

  • As the ic s a ne555 or narmal and we can use the transistor bc547b or bc547 ha help me plz ..

  • Is it possible to make the LED stay on permanently and with another clap turn her off?

I saw one of these were you have to clap two times to switch it on and two times again to turn it off.

  • OMG thanks so freaking much!!!

  • For increase the sensitivity you can replace the transistor from BC547 to BC108B and replace the resistor 4.7K to 3.3K...And to decrease delay for LED you can just replace the E.Capacitor from 100uF to 10uF 16V... Good Luck..
