??What do you think?? People ask us where they can buy a strider bike, but the day after the World Championship, JoJo was BANNED by strider founder Ryan McFarland from ever riding in a strider event again (even though JoJo attended and promoted and raced the strider cup more than any person in the world. Our entire family worked for strider and created the strider world cup plus handled all international sales until JoJo was BANNED). McFarland said that JoJo was "unruly." Websters dictionary defines unruly as "not yielding easily to rule or restriction." Sounds like good qualities to us, and JoJo just wants to ride his bike. But he will never ride a strider again in his life, and we will never recommend that anyone buy or ride a strider ever again.

I called Ryan an idiot when he BANNED JoJo. He demanded an apology after I used an expletive when he told me that BANNING my four year old son JoJo from the events and friends that he loved would be good for him. I apologized for my vulgar language. I should have been more clear and accurate by saying that McFarland's actions were cruel, heartless, insensitive, intolerant, despicable, egotistical, misguided and idiotic.

We have never experienced anything so mean spirited in our lives. And we still have no better explanation than that "JoJo is unruly." Go figure.

If you have an opinion, feel free to post your comments here.

Otherwise, please enjoy the video. JoJo always has a blast riding on two wheels, and he was a hotshot for more than a year starting at 14 months on a Micro G-bike balance bike before he ever touched a strider. One of his favorite things is to ride off road on his balance bike.

  • Try to keep up, daddy! LMAO!

That is one happy and healthy kid!

  • @h1ydrippa Haha!! Good one. Yeah, had to buy some good running shoes when he started riding. Even at 2 yrs old he was in better shape than I was! "Strider - Helping make families healthy and active since 2007"

  • How many months was he in this? We just bought one for our sons second birthday this summer

  • @shasta7g He was 31 months for this video. JoJo started riding at 14 months and is still going strong and loving to ride his Strider at 3.5 years old. Your son will love it, and it will get the whole family active and enjoying the outdoors.

  • really nice bike and vid. Trying to teach my kid how to use the brake on a Firstbike at the moment.

  • Thanks for the comment. Yeah, teaching a little kid to use a hand brake is near impossible. Their hands are too small to reach the lever, too weak to activate the brake and at that age the idea of pulling with their hand to stop something on the ground is too abstract. The best way to stop is with their feet until about 3.5 yrs old. Strider has a foot brake that can be added, and JoJo is just starting to use it. It is much more intuitive - start with your feet and stop with your feet.

  • This kid isn't unruly. He's just in love with riding his bike and doesn't wanna stop at every fork he approaches. He'll be riding a 22" mountain bike in no time.

  • Looks like the fork is mounted the wrong way...
