As with humans, there are many types of bone cancer that affect dogs. The most common bone cancer found in dogs is osteosarcoma. Rottweilers are particularly prone to this type of bone cancer which is highly malignant. Storm lost his fight against bone cancer, January 2010, just before his 11th birthday.
Learn about bone cancer in dogs through Storm's journey in this installment of the Keshet Rescue Medical Journal Series.
Thank you for a well made video, it's a lovely tribute, even though it's making me cry. Our golden retriever, who has been limping for 2 months, has been diagnosed with bone cancer in her shoulder. I don't expect we have too long, and it's breaking my heart. Yet I have had many dogs in life, some of which have had to be euthanized, and will not ask her to suffer. She was a foundling so I'm glad it was us who could give her 5 good years. Blessings.

I have a Rottie, and this breaks my heart. Although he had a good ten + years, they are never with us long enough. My girl is only 5, but we never know when we will be faced with that decision. I'm happy to see what a great life he lived with you, and I am sorry for your loss. You must have loads of memories of him to keep within your heart. My girl is my heart. She saved me!!
