The book's actually on the mark and funny at the same time. Didn't know much about O'Connell before it - just thought he was another DJ hack but after readin the book and seein this interview he seems pretty sound

had the honor of attending the xfm xmas party for the breakfast show back in the day with chris smith brian and roque and christian.with nesbitt and jonny vegas free bar from 11 in the morn till 3am the next day what a larf, still have my jonnie hat and relax t shirt...those were the days XFM

'dumb mutton chatting shit' would be a more accurate name for the show. o'connell singlehandedly kept the old, great xfm afloat for years and now he's resorted to this. if i saw him i'd lend him a fiver.

saw him on channel 5 the other day too. what the hell is christian doing? he's better than this! although...in fairness...look what happened when he went on the weakest link.
