If you look at certain microbial they don't do anything but consume food and multiply. The only function they have is to cleanup the earth of dead things regardless of plant life or animal life. So you can see that they are required to exist by design not by chance or by accident. They were here billions of years ago they are here today nothing has changed and nothing will ever change. If it is true for earth than it is also true for other planets of other solar systems with life.

While higher and bigger life form is here to promote life, microbial are here to cleanup after the higher life form. Suppose new life stops to come into existence the old life will be wiped out completely without a trace because of the microbial life form. The main function of microbial is among other things is to keep the earth clean. If nothing ever rots which is a microbial function this earth will be fully littered with bodies and corpses from billions of years of animal life or plant life.

God says that he has created life from water therefore there is lot common between all life since all of it has one common component the water among other things. Having water a common component of life does not mean that life evolved one from the other it simply means that beside having water in common there will also be other similarity in all life form. Life is not mere accidents happening randomly but life is a deliberate system. Each animal or a microbial has its function like machine part.
