ABC News: Governor Paterson vs Bloomberg

Mayor Bloomberg once again reiterated cowardice and cringing stupidity in his unwavering support for the mosque near the world trade center, support that has put him at odds with Governor Paterson.

This morning, on his weekly radio show, Bloomberg criticized Paterson's suggestion to find an alternate location for the mosque, stating that the government shouldn't be in the religious real estate business. Rauf iran

Bottom line, I disagree with both of them. While I applaud Governor Paterson for his courageous stand in his opposition to the mosque and giving voice to the voiceless, I strongly disagree with his solution. Offering land or state taxpayer funds for a mosque is essentially state-sponsored Islam, and that would be a dangerous and suicidal precedent. I encourage his vocal opposition but I reject his solution.

As for Mayor Mike, he is an embarrassment and a fool. The very idea of a 15-story mega-mosque on hallowed ground in indecent, offensive and outrageous. If Imam Rauf and his wife Daisy really wanted to "reach out" and "heal," they would give the $120 million to the first responders suffering from exposure to the toxic environment at Ground Zero after Muslim terrorists brought down the World Trade Center and slaughtered 3,000 Americans.

Bloomberg is disingenuous makes it about religious liberty. This is not a religious issue. This is a national security issue. Bloomberg dismisses calls for an investigation of the funding of the 120 million dollar mega-mosque as "un-American." On the contrary, it is anti-American not to investigate the funding.

Rauf is tied to terrorist organizations (IHH), Iran, Bin Laden/Al Qaeda tied Xenel et al. And while Bloomberg claims that not building the mosque would be a win for the terrorists, it is the opposite that is true. it would the master stroke, the ultimate win for islamic jihad. Building a mega-mosque, appropriately named "Cordoba" (the symbol of Islamic conquest over the West) at the hallowed ground of the largest islamic attack on the West would be the sweetest victory for the terrorists and would draw jihadists the world over -- think Mecca on the Hudson

Bloomberg, Obama. You've got it wrong. This is no way related to religious freedom. This is for conquest. If any indication is like the Dome of the Rock in Israel then you of all people should respect the family and friends of the victims of the 9/11 tragedy.
