At Boston's Green Fest participants in the one gallon challenge showed off their prototype vehicles that ran on everything from electricity to wood. One participant modified a Ford F150 pick up to run on biomass.

  • great

  • Doesn't have to be trees though, he said it can be anything organic. So that could be rotting leaves, grass clippings, etc. It's effectively trash (hello Mr. Fusion!)

  • Woodgas powered vehicles need to be more often shown on TV.

Most folks I have met are blissfully unaware of this amazing technology, even though they have the skills required to replicate it for themselves.

If more of us did this, we could convert all sorts of waste materials into fuel.

I tried my woodgas powered engine on goat poop and horse manure, and it worked nicely.

Just imagine the possibilities for a cleaner environment, and a less costly means of driving your car :) .

  • Great Idea but now instead of emitting and wasting fossle fuels your cutting down more trees :/.

  • that truck's got wood lol
