  • Are they organic? I was just about to buy some the other day but then was unsure if I wanted to or not because the description didn't say they were organic. I've heard that cashews are pretty much never raw because the process they use to get the cashew nut out involves heating it. I'm not sure if that's true or not. But I've heard another raw foodist say the same thing about cashews being a bit hard on her system. I want to try the pesto kale chips. I'd really like to know if they're organic.

  • I make the sauce for my kale chips in the Vitamix as follows:

    3 big red bell peppers

    4 cloves of garlic

    1/4 tsp of cheyenne pepper

    1/3 cup of olive oil

    juice of 1 lemon

    3 Tbsp hemp seeds

1 1/2 tsp Himalayan pink salt

This makes enough sauce for two big heads of kale and will fill 3 to 4 trays in the Excalibur dehydrator where I dehydrate at 105 for 12 hours. The sauce is thick enough that you work it into the kale coating all the bite-sized pieces and put on the netting sheets..won't drip.

  • cheese on kale? not real cheese surly?

  • what is in the pesto kale chips? i didnt see it on the website, thanks!!

  • It's funny he said addictive cause that's how I feel about some raw cookies or bars. I think the best way to eat something is in it's most natural state, that way you have all the water in the fruit to help fill you up. Also I've heard David wolf talk about how it's better to eat a mono diet and not mix to many food groups together. for example cashews with kale. But it is better to eat this than normal junk food and an interesting way to get your greens! I wanna try the pesto ones:)

  • THank you!! I have done a trial run of kale chips (making and giving out samples at the AlternaTeva Fair ) in Jerusalem. The comments were more than overwhelmingly positive. It's a great way to get greens to the general public.

  • Hi Matt what are the ingredients/ does it contain any non raw ingredient like nutritional yeast or some other non raw ingredient in those kale chips?

  • It's just a pitch, all in good fun and this is the kind of company that deserves support. YEAH!
