I'm sorry but this video is not accurate. The Magnus effect has NOTHING to due with the lift an airfoil produces. Also, the description of static and dynamic pressure is misleading if not flat out wrong. Ultimately the Magnus effect lift is caused by an asymmetric separation of the boundary layer on either side of the cylinder, which causes an asymmetrical pressure distribution. The descriptions given may fly for for pilots, but not for engineers...
