Yes, it was preventable. I believe the staging company got fined heavily for the accident. The park also implemented a new warning system with evacuation plans.

A few others have replied to my comment saying the same things, and I'll give you the same reply. I am in NO way saying that the Sugarland's lives are any more important or valuable than those who did die or anyone who almost did. ALL I'm saying is that their deaths would've added to an already tragic moment. As for liking a video, the video's content has everything to do with it. Why do you think this video has a almost two thousand more dislikes than likes? Nothing against the uploader though.

You're acting as though the lives of the acts are more valuable than those who actually died. And to let you know, liking a video has little to do with liking the actual content of the video. It just means the video does a good job of setting out what it was posted for.

there were really really high winds and a thunderstorm was present, if the event staff didnt want the band to go onstage for fear of injury then why didnt they start moving concert goers out of the area? should we really care more about a pop singer's life than anyone elses life?
