This is Lily Vetch and Emily Harbinson's media film
After being inspired by the protagonist from Fish Tank we decided to use the traits from Mia and incorporate it into our own protagonist therefore our protagonist is a troublesome child. Maxime is fed up with his own life so therefore retreats to crime to supplement the lack of interest in his life. Then one day, after getting in to some kind of fight with a group of men, he is omitted to the local hospital. While resting in hospital, a profoundly disabled, elderly man, called Alfie, encounters him in his hospital bed. Alfie becomes attached to Maxime and inspires him to appreciate his own life, as it's better than some. When Maxime is sleeping, Alfie comes across the boy's diary. Alfie discovers an immense talent in Maxime, that being writing. Maxime wakes up and catches Alfie reading his diary and becomes infuriated with Alfie. He ignores Alfie for a few days and actually becomes quite aggressive leading Maxime to enter into Alfie's house and trash it. Maxime doesn't only trash Alfie's house because Alfie read his diary, but he was triggered to trash Alfie's house because after returning back from hospital he discovers that his family had packed up their house and left, leaving him no-where to live. Alfie returns home and finds Maxime amongst his trashed house lying in his litter, Maxime is weeping uncontrollably. Because Alfie is kindly and pardoning he embraces Maxime and offers Maxime to live with him. Maxime accepts and throughout Alfie's remaining months (because a lump of cancer is found) Alfie encourages Maxime to write more about his experiences. Eventually Alfie dies and Maxime carries on writing. Maxime manages to get his stories published after sending it to a publishing company. Maxime's first book comes out and he dedicates it to Alfie. Then the film finishes.
For the first two minutes we tried to capture the personality of the boy and show how troublesome he is with out going into the plot too much.
