7/14/2006 - On his nightly MSNBC program "Countdown", host Keith Olbermann awarded John Stossel of ABC "Worst Person in the World" for claiming that the organs for transplants should be sold.
If your relative needs an organ and a donor is found say an unfortunate accident victim who signed some anonymous donor form. Would you want your relative to get the organ based on need and chance of recovery rather than sold to a dying trillionaire who is gone die in 3 days regardless of transplant or not?
Maybe compassion and common sense should outweigh greed and bowing to monied interests.
@thumpybones YES IT SHOULD BE GIVEN AWAY----THE ONLY THING MONEY IS GOOD FOR IS CONTROLLING PEOPLE----- TO ENTICE OR FORCE OTHERS TO DO WHAT THEY WOULD NOT DO ORDINARILLY ---THE WORLDS POPULATION CANNOT BE CONTROLLED BUT FOR SHORT PERIODS OF TIME---THE OPPRESSED WILL AND ALWAYS HAVE OVERTHROWN THEIR OPPRESSORS
ONE CANNOT OWN THE WORLD AND THE WORLD DOES NOT NEED MANKIND TO SURVIVE---MANKIND NEEDS THE WORLD--- WE CAN ONLY HOPE FOR A RELATIONSHIP OF SYMBIOSIS AND HARMONY WITH OUR HOME.
So, should we pass out everything based on need?? What about housing? Medical care? Clothing? Money IS the proper means. This guy, like 99% of the mainstream hyper-liberal media, needs to take an effing econ course.
What's the point of this show? There's no facts, not much dialogue with other people, it's not a funny show, the music is terrible, no dissenting viewpoints, no solutions to problems, no audience members, etc. I don't need to watch one guy whine like a girl the entire time. We can disagree, but this is just babble.
